Once you've selected your device and service plan, choose SmartPay as the payment method on the billing page.The application process is short and simple!
Applying for SmartPay is easy. You simply need to:
Pay monthly for your device and service plan together, and your service plan will be automatically refilled every 30 days.
Make your first payment when you complete checkout; a credit or debit card associated with a standard US checking account is required.
The amount you pay each month for the length of your lease plan. Your monthly payment combines the payment for your leased device with your service plan payment, along with fees and taxes.
Pay over 15, 22,or 24 months. Length of plan is determined when you apply.
Pay off your lease early and save on total fees with our Early Payoff Option.
You must be at least 18 years old with a valid Social Security Number, have a minimum monthly income of $1000 and have a credit card or debit card associated with a standard US checking account to pay for the initial payment.
You make payments directly to SmartPay. The initial payment is due at checkout, and after that, payments are due every 30 days. We email you 3 days before the payment is due and then automatically charge your payment method on file. You can always update your payment method online.
To upgrade your auto-refill service plan, just reach out to our Customer Support Team and we'll be happy to assist you. Upgrades will go into effect immediately.
You can add a service plan online through your carrier or by contacting the SmartPay Customer Support Team.
Note: This does not change the scheduled date for your auto-refill service plan.
Yes. With our Early Payoff Option*, you can save on total fees and own your device before the end of the lease term.
Note: Once the lease is complete, however, your service plan will no longer be automatically refilled via SmartPay+. You will need to enroll in an auto-refill plan through your carrier.
Yes. When you use SmartPay, you are leasing the items in your order, and fully own them when you complete your payments. You can return the items to the retailer within their return window for a refund. After that, you will need to return the items to SmartPay in order to cancel your lease.
Yes. But a lot of our customers have less than perfect credit. So if you meet the eligibility requirements, go ahead and apply.
If your payment is overdue, your service will be shut off. Your carrier will not permit you to add airtime and data services to the device until your SmartPay account is brought current.
Note: We are not responsible for any lost data that may occur due to service being disabled.
The Early Payoff Option is not available in NJ, MN, WI, and WY. Customers in NJ, MN, WI, and WY are offered a 12 month lease payment plan which renews annually. Your lease plan may be cancelled at anytime. An early termination fee may be applied.
